Our Decipha Team has extensive experience and unique qualifications in undertaking Education and Care assessments for children living with rare genetic medical conditions like Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. We are all specialist qualified teachers and have spent many years working as SEN Advisors, Local Authority Officers and for major UK Charities in this field. Our Decipha team members have conducted research and published information for families and schools. We can help to signpost families and schools towards best practice health and medical care.
Decipha specialists provide training and assessment to relevant personnel ( Head of Centre/SENCO/Exam Officer) on the responsibilities of centres during preparations for examinations/assessments and post-examination/assessment activities including the obligations arising from current data protection, equality and freedom of information legislation.
Our Decipha team have full OCR Diplomas for assessing and supporting young people with dyslexia. We can offer a full range of assessments and are able to offer a report for SEN reviews. We can carry out assessments at school, home or at our accessible office in Central London.
The Decipha team developed the award winning Include Duchenne project with the charity Action Duchenne to assess and help improve the literacy skills of young people living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Download this useful guide on Duchenne.
